By Craig Hubert | According to Charlie Sheen, “Two and a Half Men,” the hit show from which he was publically ousted, is “cursed.” Normally, we wouldn’t believe anything Sheen says, but after the events of the last week we’re inclined to believe him. First, there was the bewildering video that popped up on YouTube featuring 19-year old co-star Angus T. Jones, the half-man of the show, calling the show “filth” and asking people to stop watching it because he doesn’t want to be on it anymore. Oh yeah, the video was an interview with Christopher Hudson, who, according to the Hollywood Reporter, is “a Seventh-day Adventist who is anti-gay, anti-masturbation, anti-President Obama and anti-Jay-Z, among other things.” Sheen, who surprisingly took two whole days to make a public statement about the incident, blames series creator Chuck Lorre’s “hive of oppression” for the young star’s “emotional tsunami.”
But, since this is Hollywood, Jones has already issued a surprisingly well-worded apology for a kid who, based on the video, has trouble completing a coherent thought. But, again, since this is Hollywood, his apology isn’t really an apology at all. He mentions the “life lessons” he learned and how he wants the crew and network to know how much he appreciates their time over the years, even though during that time they were all part of spreading the word of Satan to the masses. Well, he doesn’t necessarily say the last part, but you know that was in his first draft before his publicist thought better of that.
It’s being reported that Jones will not appear in the last two episodes of “Men,” which have yet to be filmed, a decision that was made before the incident occurred. Whether or not he comes back, we’re pretty sure he will show up on one of Lorre’s famous title cards.
